Wow, I can't believe it's already time for May's last My Pumpkin Challenge #0514 - Tags Everywhere! Where did the month go?? For my final Tag-stravaganza, I knew I wanted to do some version of the standing tag banners we've done in my classes before, but I wanted to feature all Pumpkin, PLUS some new goodies, our new In Colors, and the faboo new alphabet set - Metro Type. Love it! It's photopolymer, so I can see everything, and it's just small enough to be circle-punchable - another win! Bringin' out the summer decor for our hall table now! Paper Pumpkin: Pedal Praise, In The Bag, Glittered Greetings & Framed Love; plus, Metro Type Alphabet; Island Indigo, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey. Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, & Tangelo Twist Inks, CS & Ribbons; 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" Circle Punches; Dimensionals.

This week's My Pumpkin Challenge #0414 - Special Moments gave me a great chance to help out hubby with the fastest appreciation gift bag I've ever made! Bonus! This week it was a serious time challenge, too. "Honey, I'm leaving for a meeting in 15 minutes, and I need something to put this gift in for a referral I got!" Sigh. Paper Pumpkin to the rescue! I knew I wanted use one of the "thank yous" from this month's kit, Glittered Greetings, and I knew I wanted to use on of my bags still remaining from "In The Bag." That only left details. What to do for the tag base? An already stamped dahlia I found in that stamp set pretty much set the rest! Hope she likes yellow! Fastest fussy cut in the West! And for the record, 10 minutes flat for the whole shebang! Go, me! Paper Pumpkin kits used: Glittered Greetings & In The Bag; plus, Regarding Dahlias Stamp Set; Circles Collection Framelits; Daffodil Delight Ink; 1/8" Circle Punch. There's still time to sign up for our Heartfelt Banner Class! First offering will be Thursday, April 17, 630 pm. I also have a day class available for Tuesday, April 22, 930 am. And finally, I can offer a weekend class for those need a Saturday for Saturday, April 26, at 10 am. As always, if you find that these dates don't suit you, just let me know and we will make it work for you! All classes include snacks and drinks, as well as your little treat, of course, and are $20, or $5 with your own kit! RSVP today with your custom word or phrase for your spot! See you soon! Ready for our next class? I'm excited to try another kit, this one from this year's Sale-A-Bration catalog - the Heartfelt Banner! The kit comes with lots of very sweet accessories, and of course, I've done my bit to add some extra details for us! All you need are your own pictures, or even quotes, and you don't need to bring them to class, you can add them later when you're ready, because they just clip on! Heck, the banner is cute without the pictures, too...
I know it's kind of hard to see, but the sample I made below features my younger sister's recent wedding, and I plan to send it to her for her birthday in May. Accordingly, I chose to add the phrase "true love." You can add any word or phrase of your choice, up to nine letters would work best for the banner. Maybe "family," "I love you," or "bad boys," lol... You choose! I have plenty of kits on hand (see what I did with MY Sale-A-Bration rewards??), all you need to do is let me know what word or phrase you want when you RSVP. Class will be $20, but, if you already have this kit, bring it along, and class is only $5! So, our Heartfelt Banner Class has several options - just pick what works best for you, or let me know if you want to shoot for a different time! RSVP today for your spot! See you soon! Thank goodness I still have My Pumpkin Challenge #0414 - Special Moments to work on - is it volunteer appreciation time for all of you, too? This month's Paper Pumpkin "Glittered Greetings" is fitting right in as well! Today I made up some ca-UTE little tags for the Tag A Bag Gift Boxes I'll be using for my little tokens! It was a lot of fun dressing up the boxes, too - I decided to try embossing the sleeve to see what would happen. I had to reposition the embossing folder a few times, but I picked one I'd be able to see fairly easily for alignment, and I felt like the chevron really went well with the stamp from the kit. For the box itself, I heat-embossed that stamp all the way around the edge - photopolymer made lining up a snap! No Stamp-A-Ma-Jig required! Paper Pumpkin - Glittered Greetings; plus, Tag A Bag Gift Box; Chevron Embossing Folder; Versamark; Pool Party Embossing Powder; Chalk Talk Framelits; Stretch Ruffle Trim in Coastal Cabana. Still time to squeeze in one last project for this month's My Pumpkin Challenge #0314 - Fun With Circles & Bags! We've been having a slightly sad week here Chez Heroldt - it's tough to come back from Spring Break and jump on the grind again! So, I put together some little treat bags to cheer up my little grouch while we got back to work - who says jelly beans can't cure everything! The basic idea for folding the awesome Tag A Bag Treat Bags came from my favorite Make & Take from Convention this year - how cool is it to convert that flat bag into a pleated one? Here's a link to a quick video of how to do that, and here's a picture of that original project! Paper Pumpkin - In The Bag & Seriously; plus, Tag A Bag Gift Bags; Baked Brown Sugar, Bermuda Bay & Summer Starfruit Inks; Scallop Tag Topper & Corner Rounder Punches; Whisper White CS. Wow, I have had a TON of fun putting together the sample for our March class - a small tabletop topiary made using our new Spiral Flower Die! I've been seeing a few versions around that I really liked - I tried to incorporate my favorite elements from all of them - like touches of tulle, jumbo pearls, lacy bows - dreamy! I will be prepping like a mad-woman for you all again - see how I love you?! I promise that the project is totally doable in our time-frame, you know how I like us to be relaxed and snacking! Now, I left my sample white (Wedding Present!) but YOU will be able to color yours whatever color you want, with a color mister, or even a Smooch Spritzer, if you like - here's a little pink flower I tinted for you so you can get the idea... Quick and easy! You could even do multiple colors - I have some really sweet sample pictures of what that could look like... All you will need for class is a hot glue gun, and a bone folder if you have one! All other supplies provided - $25. So, RSVP now for Thursday, March 20, 630 pm, chez Heroldt! As always, snacks, drinks and merriment will abound! Those that would prefer a day class, just let me know, and I will set one up that works for you! PS. While I was at it, I totally couldn't resist trying out this idea I also saw for using the spiral to make pine cones, too - how adorable is this? I totally see these in our holiday future, lol... Like how I added a touch of Dazzling Diamonds glitter to make it look all snow-kissed? Yes, I AM wearing glitter today, lol! So, have you seen the new Paper Pumpkin kit In The Bag? So cute! It inspired this month's new theme at My Pumpkin Challenge #0314 - Fun With Circles & Bags! Now the timing for me is pretty awesome - I'm off next week to my sister's wedding, and I need a gift bag! So, I went pretty simple with this one, and only dressed up the stamp colors a bit... This sturdy bag will be perfect for the plane ride home she'll be facing, especially when she sees how well-stocked with goodies it is! Can't wait to see you run "circles" around me! Paper Pumpkin - In The Bag; Tangerine Tango & Smoky Slate Inks. I know I usually have an instruction sheet to post after a class, but this time we stayed pretty true to what came in our Burlap & Blooms kits, so I only have a little Burlap & Blooms Tip Sheet. I DID get to do some lovely tags as the class gift, based on this week's awesome Retro Sketch#103! Using a sketch for class gifts doesn't usually happen for me, so it was fun to be able to use it! Hopefully you'll be able to "re-tag" with these, lol... And you know you want that Sweet Sorbet DSP - Sale-A-Bration is still on, you don't want to miss it! You can find our awesome Flour-less and Butter-less Peanut Butter Cookies here at Our Best Bites - so super easy for such a yummy cookie! Enjoy! Petal Parade (SAB 2014) & Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Sets; Whisper White, Sahara Sand & Crisp Cantaloupe CS; Sweet Sorbet DSP; Pool Party, Crisp Cantaloupe, Sahara Sand, Summer Starfruit & Pistachio Pudding Inks; Lareg Delicate Doilies Sizzlet; Bitty Banners Framelits; Corner Rounder, Itty Bitty, 1/2" & 1/4" Circle Punches; Pistachio Pudding Stretch Ruffle Trim; Basic Jewel Pearls & Jumbo Pearls. Oh wow, I have had so much fun making the sample of the Burlap & Blooms Wreath Kit that we planned on for our February class - you guys are going to love it! Super easy, without being TOO easy, if you know what I mean! I tried to stick to the basic kit mostly, for our sample, but I did slip a little, with a few extras already (mostly the bird and some butterflies, and well, ok, a couple spiral flowers so we can start practicing those for our March class, but that's IT!) , and I have lots of ideas for more, that will be available for you here to choose from! I'm so excited for you to make this project! So, our official class announcement is a bit early, because I'm going to a special treat of fancy taiko drumming on our usual date, sorry, so, class is announced for Thursday, February 27th, 630 pm, chez Heroldt, yummy treats and snacks waiting for you, of course! All materials and kits provided for you for $20, but you'll want to bring a bone folder and your hot glue gun for sure, if you have one. RSVP NOW to let me know you are coming, so I can make sure to have your kit waiting! And of course, let me know if you prefer a daytime class, and we will set it up! So what do you think of this cute New Year's treat from last night's Flip Calendar Class? I totally CASE'd it from Laura Zaraza's Laura Z Stamps and my most favorite thing is how it uses our new Scalloped Tag Punch! Woo-hoo! I made up my measurements to hold one Hershey Nugget, but you could make it longer and stack two or more on top of each other. I cut a 2" x 4" strip from the Silver Foil sheets, and scored on the long edge at 1 1/2" and 2 1/2". Then I punched both ends with the Scallop Tag Punch, and tied closed with Silver Ribbon! Too easy! Here are the Flip Calendar Instructions from class as well! |
